Wonderful news! The beautiful tall ship Johanna Lucretia that arrived in for our Festival to Cook St Quay in Portaferry is offering sailing trips in the Lough on Friday (tomorrow), Saturday and Sunday.
This is a great opportunity but places are limited to twelve lucky people per sailing, so first come first served. Prices are £15 per adult and £10 per child under 15 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Life jackets are provided.

Sea slugs are often called butterflies of the sea because of their fabulous shape and colour

Holding marine creatures, using an underwater spyball camera, squelching in the seaweed, and getting into a real marine laboratory are just some of the things you can do when our marine world is uncovered in Portaferry on Saturday 13th June.

Portaferry will be filled with Medieval Mayhem on Sat 13 and Sun 14 June during the annual Strangford Lough Festival. Those turbulent times were action packed and you can try on chain mail, wield a sword and bring out your inner thirst for battle with the castles' men–at-arms. Falconry and archery displays and have-a-go sessions will be a huge draw at Exploris Park and you can also pick up some ancient recipes or try out your writing skills with the cooks and scriptor monk.
