Dunnyneill Islands
The Dunnyneill Islands are privately owned which lie in Strangford Lough approximately 2.5 kilometres to the northeast of Killyleagh. They are a pair of islands linked by a causeway at low tide.
The larger island, known as Dunnyneill is a drumlin with a boulder clay core. It is roughly D-shaped. There is evidence of an old ring fort and there is many a myth and legend about Dunnyneill and many experts have studied the islands.

Accesss to the Island is by boat but please do not access via the low North Easterly end and contact the owner prior to arrival. This is one of the best places in Strangford Lough to see porpoise.
