Darragh Island

Darragh Island, is a 19 acre island which is the property of the National Trust located on the western side of Strangford Lough it  lies east of Killinchy between Whiterock and Ringhaddy.

It  has a sandy beach at low tide on the North East corner.  On the island there are the ruins of small kiln and store and the remains of a dwelling on the north of the island.

There is mud at very low tide so please be careful and beware of livestock as grazing cattle have been introduced onto the island.
