Sheepland Coast Litter Clean-up August 25th 2018

SLLP Coastal Guardians Project funded by Live Here Love Here Small Grant Scheme

Following on from the great success of our "extreme" clean-up of the Killough coastal path in 2017, we are back again with assistance from Live Here Love Here small grant to tackle marine litter and clean-up more of our shores. This time we are heading to the stretch of coast between Ballyhornan and Ardglass, The Sheepland Coast. This stunningly beautiful stretch of coast is very badly littered in places, particularly in and around Sheepland Harbour and St. Patrick's Well.Join us on Saturday 25th August at 12pm and help clean up this beautiful stretch of coastline. Come along and do as little or as much as you can! All necessary equipment will be provided. It is essential that you wear appropriate foot wear as the path is rough in parts. Weather appropriate clothing is also a must.Parking available at Dunsford Old School, Chapeltown, 1 Tollumgrange Road, Downpatrick, BT30 7SR From here volunteers will be transported to the clean-up location. Refreshments will be provided. For more information and to register your interest please contact: judith.caldwell@strangfordlough.org
