GSNI Science Strategy (Public Event)

Created on: Tuesday, 04 February 2020. Posted in: News

Learn more about the science and research undertaken by the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland and have your say in its future strategy.

The world has changed since the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland was established in 1947; climate-change and the need for its mitigation and adaption combined with the increasing demands for low carbon energy, raw materials and water presents a series of challenges and opportunities for GSNI.

To help meet these new societal challenges and opportunities, GSNI is developing a new Science Strategy that will enable the organisation to augment, adapt and focus its current work programme and work towards a shared vision that will benefit every citizen of Northern Ireland.

We are offering the chance for you to have your say in the future direction of GSNI and to learn more about the vast array of science and research activities that we undertake.

The event will comprise nano talks on a range of topics and hands on activities of Northern Ireland's diverse geology.
