Strangford Lough and Lecale Partnership
The Strangford Lough and Lecale Partnership brings together the main stakeholders involved with the management of Strangford Lough to consider the strategic management of the environmental protected area and to provide related advice to government from a local perspective.
The Partnership Advisory Committee comprises of twenty one
organisations
. It provides a forum for discussion between the main interest groups and helps the Lough users understand the wider issues involved in caring for this tremendous resource and in using it sustainability.
The Partnership Advisory Committee meets six times per year and at any time it may have a number of active Working Groups.
While the Partnership Advisory Committee has no operational responsibilities on Strangford Lough it has initiated a number of strategic initiatives to improve the area's management including;
