A new memorial has been unveiled in the home town of the chief designer of the Titanic.
Thomas Andrews, the man from Comber who managed the design department at Harland and Wolff, oversaw the plans for the Titanic’s construction and was among the 1,517 people who perished in the disaster, is commemorated on the memorial, which also remembers all those who died and honours those who worked on the ship’s construction.
