Scrabo Tower, sits in Scrabo Country Park, on a hill above Newtownards. It was built after the famine in 1857 in memory of the Third Marquis of Londonderry for his work to help the poor and hungry during the famine. From the hill there are spectacular views of Strangford Lough. Visit our Image Gallery to take a virtual tour.
