Art and Craft

The Strangford Lough area is noted for its collection of people engaged in arts and crafts.

The peninsula area is particularly famous as a hot-bed of craft activity, with over 80 individuals engaged in the industry.

Ards Borough Council operate galleries at the Tourist Information Centres in Newtownards and Portaferry (seasonal office) and a number of 'Meet the Maker' events are held annually.  Further information can be found on the council website
